Join the Short, Short, BIG! Writing Challenge

Watch a short PD video! Teach a short writing lesson! Win BIG!

Here’s how it works:

  • STEP 1: Teach a writing lesson

First, teach the short writing lesson, “Honing In on Citing Relevant Evidence.” Trust me, it's going to be a game-changer for your students.

You can check out this short video by program coauthor, Dr. Katie McKnight on how to teach the lesson. It’s quick and easy, and you’ll learn everything you need to know to get started.

  • STEP 2: Submit your entry and win BIG!

Here’s the best part—Win BIG! Complete the form, share evidence from your lesson, and win a Short, Short, BIG! Writing Toolkit.

Lesson evidence can include a couple of sentences on how the lesson went, pictures, videos, student work samples, lesson plans, testimonials, student data, or anything else that shows you taught it. You can also follow us on social media and leave a comment on our post about your lesson.

The challenge will kick off on January 16th and end on February 5th. We will do two drawings for the Short, Short, BIG! Writing Toolkit. The first drawing will occur on Monday, January 29th, and the second on Monday, February 5th. So, if you get your entries in by the 29th, you will have two opportunities to win.
